Ward Frank Cleary


Ward Frank Cleary was born in Stamford, Connecticut on September 29, 1943. Attorney Cleary attended Fordham University where he received a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1966 and his J.D. in 1969. He is admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut and the U.S. Tax Court.

Mr. Cleary was an Attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, Tax Court Litigation Division in Washington, D.C. from 1969 until 1973. He was also a chairman on the Wilton Charter Revision Committee from 1980 until 1981. Additionally, Mr. Cleary was a member (1981-1986) and chairman (1985-1986) of the Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission, and is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Section on Taxation.

Mr. Cleary’s areas of practice include Federal Taxation, International Taxation, Closely Held Corporations, Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions, Wills, Trusts, Income Tax, and Estate and Gift Taxation.

For the last three years Mr. Cleary has served as co chairman of the Board of Directors of Silver Hill Hospital.
